Unbelievable! Sent in correction to rid suspension, 50 days later, they excuse lazy incompetence saying THE check, tax return, did not have ATTEN: SUSPENSION Unit written in the address; then supervisor lies and says they have received nothing, nothing on the data base, not check ONLY to learn from another worker THEY HAD IT ALL THE TIME. It is on their data base, the check has been cashed; but is not business friendly enuf to get us out of suspension after 50 days!!!!! Crippled us. And why? Because I complained to Gov. Cooper? I WANT AN INVESTIGATION!!!!!
I have to file monthly returns with these folks.. They get it wrong about 80% of the time. I can't tell you how many hours I've spent trying to sort these folks out. I've been told they don't read my emails or letters. I finally wrote to the tax advocate office. I have to admit they have been helpful but only after having to claim harassment with all of the late filing notices and penalties that they've had to reverse. What a waste of my time and our tax dollars. I hope someone of authority will read these reviews and do something about this department. It's nothing short of ridiculous.
Taxes were filled in March of 2016 and still have not gotten our return. They acknowledge that they owe us money and they received our tax forms but now they want us to file our taxes again. Crooks!
I've had to call customer service on a couple occasions and each time the staff has been very courteous and helpful and taken more than enough time to help resolve the issues I had called for.
The customer service representative #1332459, was helpful and quite friendly. She used extreme professionalism and answered my queries with enthusiasm and grace. I think most people don't realize that their attitudes influence and effect their interaction with customer service agents. These lovely individuals are not paid to be abused, screamed at or blamed for state legislation and tax laws. They are tax paying residents of North Carolina and simply are available to us to answer our questions to the best of their ability. Maybe showing class and not your ar*e may get you better results with interpersonal communication. Also, I would like to commend the State on hiring second level agent #1332163 and third level agent #1332272. Both of those ladies were fantastic and very patient with me answering a variety of inquiries!!!
