Ample selection for the size
Has a lot of variety although it did not have exactly what I was looking for. I hate the parking lot though. Its way too small. Its hard to cross without almost getting hit, whether on foot or in car. The absolute worse time to go is on a Friday night. Its like an ant hill.
I just went in to purchase some vodka to give to my 79 yr old father for a Father's Day gift and the salesman refused to sell to me because I had my 18 yr old niece with me. When I asked for her to go outside and wait for me in the car, the salesman refused to sell me the vodka because she had been in the store with me. When I inquired as to why I've been permitted in the past to bring my 12 yr old son inside, he stated that "18, 19, and 20 yr olds are not allowed in the store." I think this is ridiculous. Had I known that was the rule, I would never have allowed ANY child to accompany me to any ABC store. I've been to this store several times with a minor prior to this and NEVER have we had a problem such as this, suggesting that I would give alcohol to an underage CHILD. I am offended and will never go to this store again. The logic of the salesman here is absurd. Either he's the only one that's following the rules and everyone else has had a lapse in judgment, or someone's got a bad case of spring fever and wants to be difficult. By the way, grocery stores sell alcohol too and I've had them accompany me there as well!
It's a NC state run liquor store. Weird for people who have routinely shopped at grocery stores for booze in other states. Prices are ok with occasional "sales" on selected stock. Employees are knowledgeable if not expert. Extra points for friendliness. Any returns, like a leaky top must go to store where it was purchased.
