I went to Bunkey's to get my car washed today because it was open and I called and was told I didn't need an appointment. But when I got there I was told the car wash part was closed because it was raining. I asked if there were any car wash places that washed cars when it was raining, and he looked at me like I had lost my mind! He had no recommendations and so I left. I did find out that American Pride and other places have facilities that wash cars when it is raining and so got my car washed (in the rain).
I arrived with my boyfriend at the car wash in the early afternoon. When we pulled up, my boyfriend gave the keys to the man who was running the intake of cars and I asked for a Super Wash. This man proceeded to lock my keys in the car! After clarifying with my boyfriend who locked the keys in, there was no apology offered by this man at all.
I'm writing to share my experience at your car wash at 6450 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh, on Sunday, July 23, ~2:00 pm.
Another man then comes over and starts working on recovering the keys. I know from previous experiences with AAA that it's very difficult to unlock a '09 Honda Civic by pushing the button or latch through the window. I shared this information with everyone present and told them the easiest way to get in is to open the trunk using the lever and crawl into the car through the trunk. Unfortunately, I was pretty much ignored and so we ended up spending 30+ minutes outside in 100 degree weather because the staff didn't want to accept my guidance.
My car was then processed through the wash. After leaving I realized the car wasn't even vacuumed properly! I am incredibly disappointed with the service that was given Sunday. I could not believe the lack of regard shown by their staff. I reached out to management and received no response.
Paid over $40 for a "Diamond wash" and was very disappointed. Left dirt in the door, on the floor between the seats and doors. Water marks down the windshield. I tipped $5.00 hoping they'd do a better job. Two guys came back to the car and basically did nothing more. Going to try the one in Cary next time.
When the man finally tried the advice I gave, the car was unlocked within two minutes. Still, I was offered no apology.
Alfonzo did a wonderful detail on my car. However, I felt very over charged. i had asked for the mini detail because when I googled a price menu it said $55. When I went to Check out I was charged $120, and right before Christmas! The cashier said that was the Cary locations price and they are owned by different owners!! Be very careful and make sure you know pricing before you go to each location!
Would have given five stars a few years ago. Quality has gone down a bit lately 2016-2017. Still do a decent job.
