This is a traditional church. We worship together and share together. I have found the people and the clergy to be terrific. After the 11 service we have a lovely coffee hour for a meet and greet Our Sunday School caters to all children from 3 + HS. We even have a nursery for the little ones. This year the youth group (always a lively bunch of young people) will be meeting after the service during the coffee hour. We have a remarkable vestry, men's group, Daughters of the King, and others who are willing to pray and help as soon as we know the need. Father James is one of those people who are gifted in their profession. He makes everyone welcomed and shares the love of Jesus without being oppressive about it. St Timothy's Church is a wonderful church home. They have many great programs for children. It is convenient location from North Raleigh and inside the Beltline.
We have always felt a part of St. Timothy's Church since our first visit. All the members of the congregation that we met made us feel welcome and were genuinely nice. My wife and I decide we would become members shortly after our fsits few visits. This all speaks volumes about Father James, his leadership and the environment he has been able to create at St. Timothy's. My wife and I count ourselves very blessed to be a part is such an amazing church community.
St. Timothy's is a fantastic place of fellowship and worship in the heart Raleigh, NC. I have been a member since birth and have met my best friends through our church programs. Conveniently located just off the Beltline in the heart of Raleigh MidTown, with Sunday Services at both 8:30 and 10:30 AM. Regardless of previous church or denominational affiliation, there is something both familiar and welcoming about St. Timothy's. My wife and I came from differing backgrounds, but we both immediately found a sense of place and belonging here. The beautiful, traditional services made us feel closer to God. The warm and inviting congregation quickly became an extended family to us. And the diversity of programs/groups/ministries engaged us both in worship and community. The St. Timothy's parish family really is now a part of our own family. We recommend it without reservation to everyone looking for a spiritual home.
