Just left the salon and my experience was wonderful. I made an appointment yesterday for 5:00 p.m. today and my stylist, Lauren, was ready for me when I arrived. She was really friendly and professional. She made me feel very comfortable for my first visit there. The salon was very clean and the equipment, furniture/chairs were in great shape. The services are also very affordable. Love the prices. The few negative reviews kept me from coming but I'm glad I had to find a salon at the last minute. I definitely plan to come back on a regular basis.....
The way I was looked at coming in with my natural hair and the side eyes I could see in the mirror were annoying as hell. My hair came out ok but I would rather spend my money with someone who deals with natural hair on a regular basis and appreciates me as a customer.
I have had nothing but great experiences here. The stylists are warm and friendly, and very professional. They do a fantastic job ! The hair washing chairs and bowls are the most comfortable I've ever say it. I usually fall asleep when I'm there ! The interior and the lighting are soothing ! The hair drying area is in a separate area, and very comfortable also. Just an all around great experience! And my hair is always gorgeous when I leave ! I encourage you to give them a try !
I always come here for my blowouts. Julissa is the stylist who slays my blowouts each and every time I come to this salon. All the other stylists are very friendly and they make you feel welcome once you step into the salon.
The prices are the best you are going find just about anywhere as they are a discount salon. $15 for doobies, wraps, and roller sets and only an additional $10 for any natural hair services. And they have stylists now who can do natural hair with no problem. I would suggest calling ahead and scheduling an appointment for that service as natural hair does take a bit longer to do and you want to be put with who is the best known for natural hair. The best recommendation for natural services is Matellies. He is great. Especially since he has great customer service and is very easy to communicate with. Of course there are other stylists great with natural hair braiding too, but people tend to have special concerns for natural hair other than braiding and he does it all. There is a Christian atmosphere that is relaxing and positive so that even if you are not Christian you can still appreciate the mood as one that is not your typical "ghetto", "loud" salon. This professional vibe is comforting and they always put customers' needs and wants first.
