He fixed me up really good

Dr. Speer was the worst orthopedist I've seen. I had tendinopathy in my elbow (torn tendons), Dr. Speer ordered an xray and mri to view the issues (confirming it was tendinopathy). He did zero range of motion tests, he did zero strength tests, opting to just schedule a surgery. He never offered physical therapy ora brace to tryto avoid surgery. I was frustrated by surgery being the only option offered, and went to an orthopedic Emergicare where I spoke to a PA who didn't even mention surgery look at the MRI and immediately thought a brace was needed and a follow up with an orthopedist to figure out a physical therapy regimen to strengthen the tendons in the elbow. I followed up with a different ortopedist we'll also did not think that surgery was the best option, preferring to go with extended wearing a brace on the right arm and physical therapy, exercises and strengthening. Over the course of 4 months the elbow was better following the physical therapy and stretches and surgery was not needed.

I had surgery for a frozen shoulder. Although I feel Dr. Speer is an excellent surgeon, he does not take the time during visits to answer questions in a thorough manner. I was concerned that I had not made more progress since my surgery but he did not take the time to examine my shoulder to see what my passive range of motion was versus that of when I was standing up. He just told me that the shoulder he had just operated on was freezing up again when I showed him all the higher I could raise my shoulder while standing up. When I told him that my passive range of motion was much better, he mumbled that I needed to strengthen my shoulder. It would have been so much better if he had taken a couple minutes to check it.

Dr. Speer, did a awesome job on my left shoulder surgery, very professional surgeon, and highly recommended. ....

My Experience was great staff wonderful. They really care Thank you Duke
