If you have difficulty walking this venue is not for you. Worse then that was there were two twenty somethings behind our seats. The one was into the music which is great, it's not when you continually keek hitting the back of my head as well as my seat.
My last point why are venders selling alcohol to obviously drunk customers, because as anyone who has ever gone here knows she certainly did not bring it in to the venue.
The drunk girls friend was rude, vulgar depite her friends best efforts to get her to chill. When I brought security back and explained the problem, they explained there was nothing they could do. So security at this venue is in effect non-existent.
Security excels at catching the wayward, sandwich or unsealed water bottles ! Pity my issue wasn't with a drunk sandwich, security would have been right on top of that !
Located in a forgotten area southeast of Raleigh, this venue is a hassle to enter and leave, the view of the stage (hidden in the depths of a dark, covered seating area) is limited, and the sound quality is poor. The upside is that Live Nation does a very good job at managing the venue. The best thing that could happen would be to bulldoze and start over with a better overall design.
Sound quality is excellent. Upgrade experience is nice but not consistent. Last concert upgrade s did not work. This concert they were offered way in advance with no warning. Usually they are offered 10:30am day of concert. Parking was a problem. We were directed to employee parking but we had a fast pass entrance which was at the other end of the park. This is not a new venue and these problems should be worked out by now.
My family and I have been to this venue many many times and have never had the ridiculous disorganization and clueless staff that we had this past weekend. 1 family member is disabled and we were told that the handicapped lot was full and we had to park in general. Not too bad, we could just move a little slower. We got there in plenty of time. Then we finally make it to a line for the gate that isn't a line. It is a big corral of people packed together like sardines. The actual gates weren't even open and the event started at 7. It was 6:30 at that point. By the time we got through the gate, it was almost 7:30 and by the time we got to our seats all the way on the other side of the pavilion, it was 7:45 and we had missed the opening act and almost missed the entrance of the next one. 1 staff member on a golf cart yelled MOVE as they were driving by us. The actual concert was great. Acoustics were amazing as usual, but I don't know what happened to the flow there. It went from smooth to bomb just went off in a matter of months. We have tickets for a future event but I am thinking of just selling our tickets. It's just not worth the pain and aggravation to some of my family members
This is a must visit place during the summer. The venue is big, and there's plenty of good seats. Personally, I love the lawn. Best part, tickets are very fair in cost. Parking is usually a breeze because of the well-organized staff members and the ticket line moves quickly enough. They do have bags and people to check. The food and beverages inside are pretty pricey, but getting a treat is part of the fun. Plus, you're allowed to bring a bottle of water in with you. The summer shows are so good. The artists coming in are big names and make for a well-spent southern summer night. Viewers are typically chill and relaxed which allows for a peaceful, yet fun, event. Highly recommend it.
