Well worth the visit to this iconic steakhouse, especially during the holidays. The decorations are fantastic! The new permanent structure waiting area outside the entrance to the restaurant is a great upgrade. Allows plenty of room to mix & mingle, while waiting on your table - and there's a bar out there! For some the Angus Barn is overpriced, but we go every December as a special family occasion. The wine list is very extensive - the restaurant boasts one of the largest wine cellars in the country. The steaks & king crab legs, as well as the salads & sides, were above average. And the dessert selection is wide & all are very tasty. Well worth the trip!

Portions are more than generous, sides are massive, steak so tender I'm not sure I needed a knife. If what's on the menu doesn't suit your needs they can customize a cut for you, just call ahead. This place gets packed, so I advise making a Reservation in advance, waits can be upto 3hrs at the door. The ambience & aesthetic is on point, very accommodating Staff, super friendly. They also have a Humidor as well as a package section for additional purchases. Only thing is, that it is a bit pricey, but well worth it in my opinion & experience.

We arrived, two couples, yesterday at 3 pm, when they opened. The parking lot was already full. The place was packed. But in spite of the large crowd we enjoyed crackers and cheese and olives etc. and drinks while we waited for a table. We were told that it might be a long wait. However, we we're soon seated at a table. My wife and I had the Chateaubriand for two. It was cooked a perfect medium rare as ordered. The stuffed potatoes were good. I am amazed that they can serve so many people and still do such a good job. Our server was very pleasant and helpful when we had questions. It is always fun to see the Christmas decorations at the Angus Barn.

What has happened to the Angus Barn? Let me start by giving a positive comment. Our waiter was fantastic. Wish I could remember his name as he was friendly and attentive to our entire party of 10. Excellent service. On the other hand, the steaks were terrible. Although they were cooked as requested they had absolutely no flavor. Half of party made similar comments on their meals. A big disappointment. Will be a long time if ever before I return.

Phenomenal restaurant. Atmosphere is incredible. Staff is exceptional. Food is great. Prices are not unreasonable. Make sure to go early and have a drink in the Wild Turkey lounge. They have an extensive wine cellar and will take customers for a tour. They also have the "meat locker" which is one of the only places in Raleigh where you can enjoy a cigar. Highly recommended
