I just came across the previous review by Olivia Parker and as a long-time customer of the Cary Ice House I have to refute her review. While we all have our opinions, hence the reason for reviews, they need to be honest and accurate. For years, I practically lived at this ice rink bringing my children on a regular basis. The comment, “be aware that you may only skate forwards and at a snails pace. If you attempt to exercise any type of free will, you will be verbally assaulted by someone named Tracy Todd.” In my time there, I have seen skaters perform movements in the air that are dangerous and against the Cary Ice House rules with a lot of children on the ice. As we skaters know, the blades can be deadly so I can only commend Tracy Todd for enforcing the rules for the safety of all on the ice. If the rules were not being strictly enforced my children would not participate in open skate sessions. I believe Tracy’s number one concern is for the safety of all attendees on and off the ice. So, does her common sense, logic, and reasoning go out the window when you have a rebel on the ice. I sure hope so as I want a fun, safe, positive place for my children to be active and participate in a sport they love. I commend Tracy for willing to enforce the rules even at the expense of bad reviews. I do appreciate Olivia Parker willing to take her business elsewhere for the good and safety of all who enjoy the Cary Ice House. Keep up the good work Tracy Todd. You and your team are doing a wonderful job providing a positive skate environment for me and my friends children.
It is an ice skating rink, pretty standard. If you don't have your own skates, don't go. They have some of the cheapest skates I have ever worn, and the blades are all warped
Dropped daughter off for skating. She had a great time. I felt like their hours are somewhat limited for public skate and the price is a little high. $10 for admission and then an additional fee for skate rental. All in all, she had a great time and we will return.
The staff is Great! Ice can be pretty rough for public skate, but that's to be expected. They did an awesome job for my daughter's birthday party!
Great and friendly service and reasonable prices. The rink is not extremely large but plenty big for your needs. Only downfall the ice was not scraped after what seemed to be a hockey game prior to public skate which made the ice rougher than what you may be used to.
