This NY & Co sucks. I ordered some pants off the Internet and wanted to exchange them for petite instead of average. Of course they did not have the same material...so I asked to return them, meanwhile I had additional merchandise I wanted to purchase from this particular store. The employee told me, "We are an outlet. We do not accept items off of OUR website. You'll have to go to a store." So I asked, "Where's a STORE!?!?" (Remind you I'm standing in the mall in a NY & Co STORE.) "Crabtree or Southpoint," the employee responded. Apparently this NY & Co is an OUTLET and not a STORE. She could have offered an exchange for what I planned on buying or gift card or something. I live far away and this was a huge inconvenience for me. I will never return to this OUTLET. I may not shop at NY & Co again considering they have compatition EVERYWHERE.

I stopped by one of your stores this evening in Raleigh, NC at Triangle Town Center Mall. I had just gotten off work and raced there, trying to buy a $100 gift certificate for my coworker's birthday tomorrow. (She is a new manager working for me, just learning how to dress in a business professional environment. I thought I would introduce her to NY&Co, like my first mentor and boss did for me.) I arrived at the doors right at 9:00pm, also their closing time. I asked if I could purchase a $100 gift card from them very quickly, to which they responded no. Now, I get it, I understand it's 9:00 pm (and literally not a minute later) and that they were closing, but their job is to sell things for you. I too work in customer service, as a general manager for a local restaurant. I would be fired if I had ever refused to serve someone, up to 15 minutes past our closing time (when employees are still there cleaning up and closing down for the day). Why? It's very simple- customers literally pay all the bills- the printer paper, the office supplies, your website design and maintenance, your employee's pay, your insurance- it ALL comes from the money in which your customers give to you. It doesn't magically come from the owner for being nice. Just something to think about. I will be back at the mall tomorrow, to buy a gift for my coworker, but I won't be back to New York and Company. I think instead I'll introduce her to Loft or The Limited. And this may not matter to you, but as a business, it really should.

Stop here for the return and they say no because they are outlets.so rude ,they should change the logos before they can say something.so upset...
