Was having a used car looked over before purchasing by Seth and he did a phenomenal job! Pointed out everything that was wrong with the car and even broke down what it would cost to repair each individual thing! Great service and would recommend to anyone!
I was a loyal customer for about 2 years. I loved it, they were nice and didn't take advantage of their customers. And all of a sudden I come in for an oil change and inspection (the inspection didn't pass due to a tail light no big deal I would have fixed it). Regardless, they quoted me $60 for a synthetic blend oil change. Across the street they do a synthetic blend oil change and a tire rotation for $39.99. I think it's ridiculous that as a loyal customer they gave me an overpriced quote. I had to bargain for $47 after he looked back in my account to verify I had previously been charged a cheaper price. In addition, there was no tire rotation. If this situation hadn't already upset me, when I got my car back I had to dispose of the floor cover for them. It seems simple but I'm of the firm belief that you return things how you got them. Having to pick up after a mechanic in my car is unprofessional. I'm just overall disappointed with how they treat long term customers and I hope this review helps others. Needless to say, I will be finding elsewhere to take my car for services.
So, I purchased tires at the end of May for my late model Mini Cooper S convertible. I also paid a for front end alignment and road hazard warranty. Total was a little under $700. Fast forward a few months and less than 2000 miles later. My new tires are dimpled like cottage cheese. So I go back to have them look at them. Midas tells me that the problem is a manufacturers defect and they will replace them at no cost. Sounds good, right? They charge me almost fifty dollars to mount and balance the tires (should not as this is due to them selling faulty tires , not my fault). Then they wanted me to pay for road hazard again and told me I no longer have it. Talked to the dealership, same tires and service would have only cost me $65 more, and there would not have been additional charge for mounting and balancing the replacements and the road hazard warranty I paid for would have carried over. We are from CA and have used Midas for years. Stupid me, for assuming the quality of service was the same in NC as it is in CA. We live in Topsail and were taking my husbands car to the one in Wilmington. Never again. Don't save the few dollars by going here. Long term you actually pay more and when you address issues, they do not care!!!!

I had 8 am appointment but the person with the keys to the front door showed up at 8:42am. He offer no explanation or apologize for being late even after I complained. The quote to replace my breaks on the phone was about $300 to 350, but when they added all the fees it came to $430.00. We complained about the difference and he offer to fine cheaper parts and to not flush the break fluid after which the came to around $340.00. I was satisfied with that. I am not sure I will go back. My advise to any customers is to not make a 8am appointment.
