Oh and tables were perfectly level and maintained. Even ran into the guy who maintains the bar cues for the place which was great since I could find a good house cue because I left my own cue at home.

Pantana's always has a good selection of local beers on tap, the staff is always friendly, and it's a very clean establishment. Sometimes the wait can be a little long for a pool table, but that is only because of the popularity of this place. If you're looking for a low-key night with a good atmosphere, then this is the place, just make sure you get on the juke-box before someone else plays 4 1/2 hours of country.
The atmosphere at Pantanas is always chill earlier on in the night, but when it gets late the music gets more hype which is nice for catching a second wind. The bartenders are always responsive to our needs when we walk up to the bar, and do a great job of spreading their attention around. They do not ignore us because we only drink soda, and they never pestered us to order anything we don't want - they are an instrumental part of the Pantanas experience. Andy replaces the cloths on the tables regularly so playing conditions stay consistent throughout the year and regardless of which table we're on. Because of the appropriate atmosphere, great service, and well-kept equipment, I gave 5 stars.
My personal favorite of the pool halls in the area. The tables are as good as anywhere. I really appreciate that they let the bartenders play music rather than relying on the juke box. It's an estuary of townies and college kids, which tends to make for an interesting crowd.
Awesome place! Im from out of town, and as far as Im concerned this is the only place you should shoot pool in raleigh. Great beer and liquor selection and incredibly helpful bartender. Manager was incredibly knowledgeable about his beer selection and passionate about what he had on draft. Good prices for alcohol and pool tables. All around good experience. I look forward to coming back next time Im in the area!
