Our younger son, after watching the performance thought he'd like to give drama a try as well. We were delighted with our experience at Sonorous Road and we hope to have many more camps and classes there in the future.
This is one of the best theatres in the area. A new concept on local theatre! Awesome group of thespians to work with too! Definitely a must see when in the area!

Our son just completed a drama camp at Sonorous Road Theater. It was his first experience with drama and he loved it. The staff members are kind and very talented. They gave my son great instruction and also made him feel confident onstage. When we watched the performance at the end of the week, we were thrilled and quite surprised that he learned so much in just a week. The teens and tweens in the group were a great group and very talented. Some had years of experience in drama, but they all worked together very well. The instructors seemed to get the best out of every participant. They all had a ball.
Not to mention, my group (3 of us total) arrived with adequate time to pick our seats on the side. However, we were asked to move further to accommodate those who would come in late. Personally, I think that's a bit ridiculous, as those individuals were essentially being rewarded for being late. Not pleased with seeing the side of the actor's faces when we arrived early.
For a more intimate production of the Vagina Monologues, this was great! The only real issues were size and accommodations, which impacted everything, parking, moving around in the entrance, and bathroom.
My first Sonorous experience with Richard III. Wow! Small theater with intimate seating that changes the typical play experience. Instead of "seeing" a play, each audience member becomes a temporal part of the time world as it existed for Richard and unfolding story of his ultimate demise. How successful was that transition. Walk out asking, "when can I come again?"
