So I initially went in to this store because someone referred me to it. When I went inside the person that approached me was nice but his knowledge lacked greatly. He told me the the lockouts on the bike shock would prevent people from riding it but reality is that it's a shock stiffener or softener. I asked him to tell me the difference between ds1 bikes and ds2 but he had no clue. I asked a few more questions and again, he had no idea. Just kept repeating himself about things that weren't true like the lock out. Research the stuff you are selling before you try to sell it. Anyhow, I figured since this person has no idea what they were talking about I would grab the business card of the manager "Pryde" and send him an email with my questions. I never got a response from him after 4 days. I want to buy a bike asap while I have the initiative to workout with it. Needless to say, if the manager can't simply reply to my email within a few days, I guess another shop would like my $1000 instead. If I owned a business, all customers questions get answered in a timely fashion because every question is a potential sale. A business is only as good as the manager and if a simple email gets ignored, that speaks volumes of the kind of service I will get. Or lack there of.
I had a very pleasant experience at Trek of Raleigh. We stopped by to purchase a new bicycle for my son. The entire staff was very welcoming, knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. We ended up with a great bike. We will continue to do business with this well run, local company. Thanks!
