They wheeled me into surgery, next thing I know I'm waking up and the procedure is finished.
All the staff and people I met there were all extremely friendly, patient and kind. I would definitely recommend Duke to people. Well trained staff, all kind and understanding, overall fantastic.
Everyone was great. Sheila at the front desk was very polite. The nurses in pre-op were great. Paul in post-op went above and beyond to help me with my migraines. Stephanie and Will on the 3rd floor was very attentive and helpful.
Went in got surgery on my hip. Was there at 5am, my procedure started at 7am. Walked in and was greeted by the lady behind the desk. She gave us a buzz and said it would go off when they were ready for us.
Nighttime emergency staff is slow and lazy. Very low patient density but nothing gets done. For the love of god, please take your loved ones to a very clinic. Things might be done professionally.
The doctor came out and spoke with me, double checking to make sure I didn't have any last minute questions and see how I was doing.
Didn't take long for me to be taken into the back, they allowed my mother to go back with me. The nurses were all extremely friendly and helped to calm my nerves.
Great care and good follow up. The computer system to allow online viewing of your medical records is helpful.
A male nurse came by to put an IV in, my veins are small, so it took him more than one try. Not too big a deal, I'm use to it.
Mom went in on wednesday night with broken hip. We went over medicines with pharmacy tech. They confirmed hip was broken and gave her a room. From morning of thursday through checkout on monday they either tried to give her medicines she wasn't suppose to take or were not given her medicines she was suppose to take. EXTREMELY exasperating for an incredibly sharp but injured 83 yo. Then they proceeded to dismiss her to the rehab agency WITHOUT following the orthopedic doctors orders to place PICO drainage bandage PRIOR to transfer to rehab facility!!! Never felt staff was competent !! except for the ortipeaduc surgeon
