**An update for this after a month. I still have Bell's Palsy and I hadn't received my total bill yet in my first post. The Bill was much closer to $1500. and turns out this is the cost just to walk in the door and wait over 2 hours to be seen for five minutes.

Walk in I was greeted by the public officer and the register. I then sat for 5 minutes we where triage to a room. Nurse came within minutes enough said, professional an excellent staff WakeMed North rocks! This facility is a model that all ER should model. I know each day is a different day for each facility........GREAT SERVICE!!!!!!

I went to the ER with severe ear pain and vertigo. I was told to go straight to the hospital from urgent care. I couldn't barely walk or open my eyes and my ear was completely crusted over with scabs.

Worst hospital ever. At the end of the day. Know that you are walking into this place to get robbed and you are going to feel a lot worse when you leave. Do yourself a favor and drive to Rex or Duke.

They wrote on my discharge papers that I had swimmers ear. Two days later I was no better and all of a sudden my face was completely paralyzed on the right side. Turns out that I had shingles and now I have Bell's Palsy. If they tested my ear why did I not get a call to change my medication before my condition worsened.

All I have to say is please do not go to this hospital if your life depends on it.

Now I just received a $1000 bill from them. For what??

The first doctor to my room/cubicle was completely rude and dismissive about my condition. He was told to get a sample from my ear and have it tested. He told the other Dr. he would but didn't need to since he already knew what was wrong with me. I was swiftly dismissed with an antibiotic perscription and was told to come back if I started to lose my vision.

Once we got to the back everyone was so nice and pleasant. My daughter is one who would rather take the pain than medicine so she was in an extreme amount of discomfort but still had a smile on her face. From x-rays to them putting the cast on everyone was extremely helpful and kind. I wish we could’ve gone to the back a little sooner considering what kind of pain she was in is my only complaint

Went to the ER early afternoon on a weekday with what turned out to be a broken leg for my four-year-old. Was disappointed we had to wait so long as I had to carry her the entire time in my arms she was in so much pain. I think part of the problem is people don’t realize half the time they should just stay home or schedule an appointment with your doctor. We were in the waiting area with adults taking naps with blankets with the flu. I personally feel the ER should be freed up for actual emergencies

Horrible horrible horrible...the slowest service I have ever received at a hospital... They suck at communication... Half the dumbass nurses are staying around shoving food in their face or playing on their phones rather than taking care of their patients.

Wow. Went to ER just after midnight for excruciating kidney stone pain. Waited over 1 hour just to be triaged. Laid on floor of lobby in agony without any assistance. Once back staff were friendly enough. If you're hurting though, go somewhere else. If kidney stones, call the "stone phone" in Raleigh.

They had a doctor review our case to see if it was handled correctly and if the bill was justified. He decided their negligence in my case is why people pay them so much money and I should pay also. He said I should have come back for another bill when I got worse so that they had a second chance to get it right.

Wake Med North needs to have some crucial conversations about where the missing link is. ER patient wait-time is the single most important factor in patient experience. It's 2017- what gives?
