They paid for those 5 star reviews. This is most GHETTO Hilton I’ve EVER seen. The staff never put their personal cell phones down. We paid $132 for a room and they charged us twice. The towels are made out of card board. The beds were ....eh. The shower vent was BLACK. Also if your bringing a pet make sure you “read the fine print”.... but if you still decide to go here.. the restaurant in there is actually REALLY good.
I am very particular about where I stay when I go on trips. Based on the rating and the brand (Hilton) I thought that the hotel selection would be exceptional. However, I was wrong. Granted the hotel is under renovation, I still was not impressed. The outside of the building looked outdated. The "store" inside the hotel wasn't much of a store. They had a few snacks on the same rack as the magazines. The host at the front desk was very nice. That was a plus. Since its under construction half of the front desk area was cut off. When you walked back towards the bar or restaurant area, it looks like a small meeting room where they placed chairs and small outdated tables in. The host informed me that the rooms were finished being renovated. Wishful thinking that the design and appliances in the room would bring me comfort and reassurance. There were stains on the curtains and some on the bedding. I did not have a refrigerator or microwave. The bathroom was very small and there wasn't a ventilator in it. The water didn't get very hot in the shower. Despite my disappointment in the hotel compared to other Hilton hotels, I tried to be okay with my stay. After I left the hotel for an outing I came back to my room around 9:30 p.m. I honestly just wanted rest. Well after settling in and showering I finally went to bed around 10:15 p.m. The people on the floor I was on were extremely loud. I could hear the kids playing in the hallway and the adults were very inconsiderate. Well, finally they settled down around 11. I went to sleep only to be awaken at 6 a.m by the fire alarm. The siren continued to go off for about 20 mins. So much for rest. That had to be worst experience with the Hilton that I ever had. I will not stay there again. I'm not sure how this hotel got good reviews.
The front desk staff are amazing. Extremely friendly. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. All necessary business class amenities are there. The security team has a real crappy customer no-service attitude about them and they should all be terminated. Everyone else is great.
There is a lot of construction currently going on. The front entrance to the hotel is closed. You must go to the back entrance to check in. To get to the main ballroom from there you must follow a marked path around the construction and through service hallways to eventually comes to the area where the grand ballroom is. The restrooms near the grand ballroom were closed so you had to walk all the way back to the rear entrance to find working restrooms. It will probably be very nice when the construction is done, but while the construction is underway it is not the place to be holding events.
No microwaves or fridges in rooms if you need them. 1.5 miles from a shopping area, bars, etc. So an Uber runs about 6/7 bucks. Great gym and pool. Construction at the time of visit. Staff treated us Wonderfully. Shuttle system to and from the airport was a bit interesting, but nothing to truly worry about. Overall, a good stay.
