Great budget hotel. Really great and responsive desk. Good neighborhood. Very clean room

Off the beaten path a little. Room had just been remodeled and looked nice and clean. Had to walk upstairs for a non-smoking room. There is no elevator and first floor rooms are smoking room only. Some towels and sheets had small stains &/or burn holes. Employees are nice and helpful.

Highly recommend! VERY nice! Clean, well-lit, comfortable chairs w/ plenty of desk, counter, hanger, & drawer space. My husband deals w/ many motels as a pest control tech and HE was pleased. (He checks EVERY place we stay. Not often gives high praise!) Only detractions: 1. Not quite enough room between bed & dresser/desk for my (manual) wheelchair. And 2. Only 2 EXTREMELY small, far apart ramps on front. (Was very awkward.) Will ABSOLUTELY stay here again!

Quiet and cool place with restaurants and shopping malls nearby. Just meters away from the main highway

I stayed here 10/27...never coming back to this location again, where to start? Well firstly they put a bad taste in my mouth with check-in. There is a $50 cash deposit EVEN IF YOU'RE PAYING WITH A DEBIT CARD THAT THEY PUT ON FILE. So I had to run back out to ATM and get cash. That is something that SHOULD be noted on booking site to avoid this and more issues. I have never stayed anywhere that requires this UNLESS you're paying with cash. So unless you're paying with a major credit card prepare to have $50 cash on hand. When I asked the lady why (because the capital blvd location doesn't do this) she gave some bs reason about them remodeling rooms and that this location was nicer. And how she's heard bad stories about the capital blvd location. Which is a full blown lie, the capital blvd one is cleaner, much nicer and they have BEEN remodeled plus the hotel is totally enclosed so no randoms walking by your door outside, etc. I honestly thought about goin elsewhere when I was asked to put down a deposit even though I paid with a card. Whatever, so I finally get in the room, there was no elevator by the way. The "remodeling" was still going on but consisted of the fake hardwood floors which I hate because ya feet cold and its harder to warm the room, etc. Bathroom was extremely small. I only gave it 2 stars because the bed was comfortable, thats it. But none of that really matters due to the fact that remodeling is still going on so at like 8:30pm I had to call the front desk because I could hear the sound of a saw and multiple bumping around and s**t even though the sign at the desk said PLEASE EXCUSE CONSTRUCTION NOISE BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 9AM-6PM. The only thing the guy said was "well, sorry but it wont be all night though" Really? If you're going to allow construction to work whenever they want regardless of the guests then rent the rooms out for $30 until its over because the construction noise didn't stop until like 9pm. At 11pm-ish I could hear kids running around, playing, screaming, etc. I understand people can't control their kids or don't know how to but COME ON, really? This morning checking out, I had to deal with front desk guy who obviously hates his job from how he carries himself and lack of enthusiasm in his voice, he had to check the room so I could get my $50 back so I could go. They can say what they want about the capital blvd location but I will rather stay there ANY DAY/NIGHT than to stay at the holly ridge location again. It seems like I went through a lot of hassle for nothing. Tip to ANYONE considering this Super 8: just spend that extra $10 and go to the capital blvd location for a better Super 8 experience, room, staff, etc unless you have no choice. This location is horrible.
