It's a great trail for running/cycling, but there's poop all along the (paved) trail.
Bathrooms, walking trails, kids play area, sheltered grilling area, and fields for pets. What else could you ask for in a park.
Canoe access point and around the 20 mile mark from Falls lake dam (Falls off the Neuse)

Family reunion was held here. We enjoyed ourselves. We used the cottage on site. Small for a group over 50. We had about 70. A little cramped.
Also has a small wooded amphitheater!
Playground and ball field with a bench swings and a covered picnic area that can be booked for parties and events!
This is a beautiful space with a nice playground. Tons of green space to run around, lots of unique equipment. I was surprised that the park was pretty empty when we visited on a warm fall Saturday recently. There's some wear to the equipment and there was a little bit of trash on the playground, but we just picked it up and put in the nearby trashcans. There were working water fountains, too.
