Fabulous little park. You can walk the entire park in a loop, a small part of it is wooded. Usually quiet so relaxing. Great landscape. You can enjoy the blooms and get fabulous photo shoots.
Fred Fletcher Park is a sprawling gem. Inside the park you find a water garden with clearly labeled explainations to help explain the plants that grow within and how the system works. For more physical fun there are playing fields, courts & playgrounds. The best surprise is a gorgeous area of rolling manicured lawns with flowering beds full of exotic flowers. This area has a Historic Building centered among the beautiful grounds.
Watch for events such as weddings.
Tennis courts and softball field.
Dog-friendly.
Great green space with beautiful landscaping, sports fields, a plethora of benches, and a decent playground (regular swings, bucket swings, sandbox with two sit-on diggers and two vintage riding animals). Large trees provide ample shade. This is a such a nice place for a picnic or a walk!
Well maintained, great place to walk around. Beautiful all year long!
Tennis courts could use resurfacing, and people need to stop using the tennis courts as their local dog park and leaving messes everywhere on the courts. Otherwise it's a great location and never crowded!
