This place is awesome! I went here with my grandma once and even though I don't have a tank yet I still go back just to look. The service is incredible, great selection and they let me feed a powder blue tang seaweed!
We have always gotten our betta fish from Petsmart or Petco but we thought we'd try somewhere new when our latest fish bit the coral. We walked in and were amazed at how many varieties were there! We decided to stick with a betta and found an amazing orange/pink color one that was very active and lively. Mike came over and approved of the one we had picked. He was so knowlagable about bettas in general and helped us with other questions we had. If you need fish info or beautiful fish in general go here it was a great experience!
This store is packed with corals, fish and dry goods. Another spotless Fish Room location! I was happy to find all their pricing was clear and super competitive. Huge selection of dry goods that rivaled online retailers. Loved all the coral frags they have along with all the fish. I'm not much into freshwater fish but they had an entire wall to choose from. Keep up the good work!
Good little place. Very slim selection. One of the anemones had deteriorated to a booger like state which is no good for a tank but I won't hold that against them. I did however score a nice zoanthid frag with 20+ polyps for 14.99. They weren't busy and I had to grab someone to get what I needed, which is fine because i like to be left alone when im browsing. Had an overall good experience.
So I have been going to this place for some time now spent plenty of money with them and if this is your hobby you would know buying fish and several 5 plus every time can get expensive. Recently I brought bumble bee catfish now I'm no expert at aquariums by any means but I have been running two tanks for a while now. One tank got ick in it I got that resolved lost some fish but never reported it but last week I went in brought three bumble bee catfish and about 7 other fish. One bumble bee catfish went belly up on me in a day or two I work two jobs so never had the time through that week to get him back in. My girlfriend had the water sampled at a store close by my 10gal tank with the bottom feeders in it turned out fine my 20gal tank was a lil high on ph but nothing major. I had to wait until this past Saturday roughly a whole week. Remind you I do water changes every week. I took a sample of water to them a guy with a ball head and glasses tested the water immediately he told me he couldn't replace one $4 fish wow. Disappointed because customer service was shitt*. I work with people everyday and I know that wasn't the way to react towards a customer over a $4 fish. I explained I went else where for a test he said that wasn't good enough petsmart or petco can't give you accurate test they use strips. Like I said I'm no expert at this so I honestly wouldn't know I didn't even take the water the first time to get tested a whole week earlier because I work two jobs. After a week later I would expect the water to have changed especially due to me not cleaning the tank yet. He told me I could drive an hr and a hlf back to bring him another test that's there and back ridiculous. I'm wasting time and gas for a $4 fish so I spent my last dollar with these guys. He told me leave the fish and come back on day 8 and talk to the manager clearly on the receipt it said I had 7 days to return it out of one lavender gourami a red tail shark I think that's right 8 shrimp snails algae eaters 4 black kuhli loaches and a school of tetras only one fish died he said oh I'm suprised all your fish should be acting weird and dying with the results he got well let me tell the whole world something all my fish are great even added more plants and a few more bottom feeders they are calm and enjoying their environment if I could put up a video I would show you but long story short for a $4 fish that could have been easily replaced with a plant or something you lost a customer that spent anywhere from $40 + every time I stepped foot in the store. Crazy part is I go to the same store in Cary and get different information this chain or whatever needs a training guide so you guys won't feel like your being lied too
