His overall selling tactics are that of a shady street vendor. I heavily question his understanding of the actual jewelry that he sells, coins aside I asked him point blank if he had any pendants with a specific color of topaz, he said no. I tried to leave and he changed his tune quickly saying that sapphire and topaz are the same thing. I went along with this to see how far he would take it. He then tried to sell me a pendant that "looked" very nice, but the stone was the shade of color that I see in sapphire not topaz. After he bargained himself down from $400+, to $300+, and then to $213 I deemed that I was likely getting conned for poor quality merchandise, and I was already aware long before that I just wanted to leave his persistence as he was just stressing me out. I did not ask for a bargain or haggle, he just changed it consistently trying desperately to sell me something I didn't want.
Dean was kind enough to hold a ring for me over the past few months. Times have been tough and money just wasn't there. He didn't charge me any type of fee for holding onto it while I made payments. He was very nice and took any amount I could give at the time. He had over the top customer service and selection. Thanks again dean
One of the best Jewelry shops I have been in. The selection is unbeatable in my book. I have shopped at dean's jewels and gifts for many years and never had a problem. He is always nice, informative, and willing to help look for that special item. He runs specials all the time, and has great deals.
Too pricey for coins. I wouldnt care if the owner has to pay mall rent. The difference in coin rates for a standard us mint gold coin was 200$+ for 1 oz. The explanation was coin value (alright this is legit..its usually 3% for 1 ounce), cost he has to pay to ship (most of the sites ship it free), mall rent. I would rather prefer to buy it from a trusted online retailer for a legit / reasonable price.
Just to point out I'm not a quality snob, I just knew that I wanted a specific color of topaz, my girlfriend's birthstone. The other vendors were kind and knew exactly what to tell me, that they had sapphire, but not topaz in the color, and they didn't sulk or try to stop me. If he weren't obviously trying to sell me a lie I would have been perfectly content with his prices.
As we all know it is Christmas time once again. I have struggled in the past to find good gifts for my wife and wanted this year to be special. I thought that jewelry shopping was going to be easy turns out I am very wrong. Lol I had no idea there were so many different things you could get that is considered jewelry. I shopped around triangle for a few hours no luck, then I found deans jewels and gifts. Small place with big nice items, and a friendly staff. Me and dean talked for a while, and found the perfect little necklace and ring combination. He was having one of his many sales going on so it didn't break the bank. I had a great experience at deans jewels and Gifts.
